Spring Detox: How to Cleanse Your Body and Mind After Winter

health + wellness 🍵

Spring is a time of renewal and new beginnings. After the winter months, when we often ate heavier foods and spent less time outdoors, it is the ideal time to detoxify our body and mind. How to do it? We bring you tips on how to cleanse your body from the inside and outside.

1. Cleansing from the inside – what to eat and drink?

Hydration is the key
Water helps the body get rid of toxins. Focus on sufficient fluid intake, especially pure water. Herbal teas, such as nettle, dandelion or green tea, are also great choices, which support the function of the liver and kidneys.

A lighter diet full of vitamins
Indulge in more fresh vegetables and fruits, which are rich in fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. Focus on seasonal foods such as radishes, spinach, asparagus or young herbs.

Fermented foods
Support your gut microbiome by consuming fermented foods such as kefir, kimchi or sauerkraut. This will improve digestion and strengthen immunity.

Limit sugar and industrially processed foods
Avoid refined sugar, white bread and fried foods. Instead, choose natural foods and healthy fats, such as avocado, nuts and olive oil.

2. Cleansing from the outside - how to care for your skin?

Appropriate care
Focus on hydrating your skin. Our Aqua Splash hydrating essence with hyaluronic acid, which penetrates even into the deeper layers, is a great help. Rid your skin of dead skin cells with our Glow mask with AHA and BHA acids and astaxanthin, which perfectly softens and brightens the skin. Give it balance with our new product -  Sea Wave Anti-redness Cica toner. Cica extract contains active compounds such as asiaticosides, madecassoside and asiaticoic acid, which help reduce inflammation and redness; it also supports collagen production and strengthens the skin barrier, which helps maintain hydration and protect the skin from external factors. Thanks to its antibacterial and healing properties, it is suitable for inflamed, acne-prone skin and skin suffering from rosacea.

Peeling and dry brushing
Peeling removes dead cells and promotes blood circulation to the skin. Dry body brushing is also a great method, which stimulates the lymphatic system and helps to remove toxins. Don't forget to always treat the skin with a suitable cream or oil after brushing.

Detox baths
Add Epsom salt or clay to the bath, which help to flush out harmful substances from the body and relieve tension.

3. Movement and mental cleansing

Regular movement
Body circulation and sweating are great for flushing out toxins. Include yoga, nature walks, or light cardio in your routine.

Meditation and breathing exercises
Don't forget to clear your mind. Take a moment each day to breathe deeply, meditate, or journal to help you release stress and harmonize your thoughts.
